Or waited for an animal to cross? Turtle, deer, duck with ducklings, etc. We have. Here’s a little tidbit especially for turtles. If you see them crossing the road, put them where they were going not in the direction they came from. So many people return the animal to the side it was coming from; that’s not where their destination was! They’ll most likely be hit trying to cross the road, again!

We like to wait for creatures crossing the road. And, helping turtles continue on their journey only makes sense...they were headed in that direction for a reason

I usually just wait for them to cross the road; but, if it looks like they're having trouble or issues, I'll try to either park with my flashers on, blocking traffic for larger animals or get out and shoo or carry smaller ones across the road.

Yes. Turtles. Oh yeah, wait for them. Turkeys, deer, raccoons, possums. You don’t have to wait just slow down.

I stopped my car and held up traffic once to get Mama duck and her goslings across the road to a river.
